Blackstone is one of the largest real estate holdings in the world, with a global portfolio that spans from residential rentals to hospitals, hotels, self-storage, shopping centers, and more. (Note that they are unrelated to Blackrock, another large investment firm.) Blackstone has lowered the amount they distribute money they collect from these rentals to their investors and now they are defaulting on loans. It turns out that even with billions of dollars worth of property, you can still have operating expenses that are greater than your income.

Make More Money in Multifamily by Disobeying Speed Limits

Today on the Heartland Multifamily Show, I’m talking about speed limits with my special guest, Trot Carey. We associate speed limits with driving. Those speed limits are there with the average or below-average driver in mind, and are imposed to mitigate risk, and avoid the worst-case scenario.
